Le Feu project
The idea of putting a portfolio presentation on video. It started up with a quick brainstorm over some beers and finished with this video.
The guy who had the ideas and pieces to show: Simon Roy
The guy who held the camera and moved some lights: Charles-Antoine Auger
The savior who put this all together: Charles Grenier
The talentend colorist who played helped us making this project presentable: Thierry Sirois
Many thanks to OSA Images and Simon Duhamel for sharing ressources to make this project possible since we are some poor bastards.

I just stumbled on a video that I worked on a while ago! It’s is always fun to see the result of our work and it brings back a lot of good memories!
Basically it was a 00:00am to a 12:00pm shoot which always steps up the difficulty level but in that case all that was forgotten so quickly due to the multiple bursts of laugh and the great mood from everyone.
Special thanks to Isabelle Phaneuf-Cyr for giving me the chance to work with that great team!

From Richmond’s blog: Me trying to look like a gangster for a musician photoshoot. Legit?

If you are going to apply for a position, please do not address me as “Ladies and Gentlemen,” “Yo” or “Mat”. And call me old fashioned, but a text message saying “hit me up if you want an assistant” is also unacceptable.

Super highlight of the photoshoot: I had a chance to have a lunch with with Clara Hughes. For me it was a big deal since I am a big cycling enthusiast. Finding out that Clara is such a real and entertaining person was a super positive experience!

I don’t normally take pictures but when I do I make sure I will have a good time! Which I did on a sunday afternoon with Charles and Simon!

Good idea by the photographer Richmond Lam! His new website showing many test shots with his assistants in it! I hope that I will one day have the chance to be on this blog. I guess you will quickly notice how good looking are Julien Grimard and Nik Mirus in every single pictures! Pretty sure they know the best H&MUA to become instant models like that!
